Pension as long as you live
ATP Livslang Pension is a lifelong supplementary pension. You are entitled to receive this pension when you become a pensioner, in which you will receive it for the rest of your life – no matter what age you eventually reach.
Everyone who works in Denmark pays
Everyone who works in Denmark pays, by law, contributions into ATP Livslang Pension.
Therefore, you automatically pay contributions through your salary, or if you receive public benefits, a specific sum is deducted from these payments.
As a general rule, you pay a third of the amount yourself, and your employer pays the other two-thirds.
