AES is Labour Market Occupational Diseases Fund (Arbejdsmarkedets Erhvervssygdomssikring)
If you have a work-related disease due to your work or working conditions, you must report the respective disease to National Board of Industrial Injuries (Arbejdsskadestyrelsen).
National Board of Industrial Injuries will decide whether or not it is an occupational disease.
If your disease is recognised as an occupational disease, you may be entitled to compensation.

- Who recognises the occupational disease?
- National Board of Industrial Injuries will decide whether or not it is an occupational disease and will decide on the compensation that you or your dependants may be entitled to. The Labour Market Occupational Diseases Fund can appeal a decision within 4 weeks from the date of the decision.

- If your disease is recognised as an occupational disease, you or your dependants may be entitled to the following compensation: • Compensation for permanent injury • Compensation for the loss of the ability to work • Expenses for treatment, medication, aids, and appliances • Expenses during the treatment of the respective case • Compensation paid to dependants
- I have received a decision from National Board of Industrial Injuries. When will the reimbursement be paid out?
- Labour Market Occupational Diseases Fund pays as soon as possible - and no later than 4 weeks after you have received a decision.
