About the forest
12,000 years ago, the Ice Age formed the landscape around Wolf River, stretching from Wisconsin to Wolf River. Today, there is a route tracing the formations from the Ice Age. The route covers more than 1,600 km, spanning an area regarded as one of the best examples of how the continental parts of the Earth were formed.
The forest is FSC-certified and enrolled in Wisconsin Managed Forest Law Program, MFL, administered by the State Department of Natural Resources.
