When should I make a claim?

You cannot claim any salary etc. that you are due until your employer is officially declared bankrupt or the company has ceased to function because of insolvency.

Is there a deadline for sending a claim to the LG?

Yes. The LG normally processes all claims that we receive no later than four months from the date of the employer's bankruptcy or six months from the date that the company ceases to exist.

If we receive a claim after this period, we can only make an exemption from this deadline and process the claim in special cases.

You must inform us about your holiday remuneration as soon as possible

If you are due holiday remuneration, you must report it to the LG as soon as you hear about the employer's bankruptcy or the closure of the business.

When will the LG process my case?

LG will normally process your case within six to eight weeks of receiving your claim. If we have received all of the necessary documentation and the claim is covered by the LG, we will pay your remuneration as soon as we have processed your case.
