How we pay out your remuneration

Payment to your bank account

If you have a Danish bank account, we will transfer the funds into your account.
If you do not have a Danish account, you will receive a cheque. We cannot transfer funds using SWIFT or IBAN.
If you have provided your union or lawyer power of attorney in order to process your case, they can also receive the funds on your behalf.

Holiday remuneration

You will obtain your holiday remuneration through Feriekonto, which will send you a holiday certificate showing the number of holiday days, a calculation of the holiday remuneration, etc. The funds will be paid to you when you take your holiday.

Pension contributions

We will pay any pension contributions directly into your pension scheme.

Maximum amount

The LG can pay out a maximum of DKK 110.000 after tax. If bankruptcy officially began on or after 2. july 2009, we can pay a maximum of DKK 160,000 after tax. This amount does not, however, include holiday pay.

Will I obtain all the funds as a lump sum?

No. We will first pay you any salary that you did not receive in the period immediately before the bankruptcy. If you are entitled to salary compensation during the notice period, this amount will typically be paid out once the notice period has expired.

Will LG pay any tax on my payment?

No. We will notify SKAT about the payment. For SKAT, your position is the same as if your employer has paid tax.
