External Evaluation Group presents recommendations for ATP's investment strategy

In 2025, ATP's Board of Directors and Executive Management appointed an independent evaluation group to review ATP's investment strategy and approach to asset management. After eighteen months of work, the group is now presenting its conclusions and recommendations.

"ATP manages a significant share of the Danish population's pension savings, and it has been important for us to conduct our work thoroughly and independently. Our conclusions and recommendations reflect an in-depth analysis, and we hope they can contribute constructively to the further development of ATP's investment strategy," says Jesper Berg, Chair of the External Evaluation Group.

The Evaluation Group

The group of experts appointed by ATP to review its investment strategy consists of:
 

  • Jesper Berg, Chair
    Former Director General of the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finanstilsynet), with a career as a bank executive at Nykredit and a senior executive at Denmark's central bank (Danmarks Nationalbank).
     
  • Magnus Dahlquist
    Professor at the Stockholm School of Economics.
     
  • Andrew Ang
    Former Professor at Columbia Business School and former Head of Factors at BlackRock.

ATP's preliminary response

The final report has not yet been published, but ATP's Board of Directors and Executive Management have been presented with the report's main conclusions and recommendations. In response, ATP's Board of Directors and Executive Management have prepared a memorandum containing their preliminary response.
